03-Dug out
This is what happens when your friendly photographer digs his car out of the
sand. It was the second time I'd ever gotten stuck on the gamelands in Hoffman. (There is a plan to
buy an SUV in July, so that should get around the sand better than my Honda Civic!) Anyway, I found a
decent size stick with which I dug out under the car from all angles over the course of 3 hours and a
couple of deluges. After I got the underside clear to the point that I could see light in every
direction between ground and car, I started the car and put it in drive. A little gas, and the wheels
spun but went nowhere! I backed up an inch. Went forward an inch. Backed up 2 inches, and broke free!
Hooray! I couldn't have been happier to have my car free. I really hope nobody buys these! (I suppose
if you do, I'll either put the money to wardrobe or that SUV!)
